about not being able to skate in a
certain spot, or ask him if there is
anywhere else you can go skate.
Who knows, he might be a
skater too. I promise that any cop
you stop and take the time to talk
to will respect you, and he might
even come out and skate with
you sometime.

MORE MOM
The letter in your
September issue
titled "Thanks Mom" really
touched me. I don't want to get all
sentimental, but that lady is right
on, at least about skaters and their
friends (not to say she was wrong
about anything). I agree that peo-
ple should not kick kids out and
should just let them skate freely
anywhere they choose as long as
they're not causing too much trou-
ble. I didn't get a chance to read the
June issue (yes I know, how do I
sleep at night?) to find out all
about her son and the circum-
stances of his death, so if you can
find it in your hearts... what am I
talking about? If you can get off
your lazy asses, please send me a
copy of that letter. And to all the
people no matter what comes,
hell or high water, cops or broken
bones, don't stop skating.

I want to thank you for people fo
bringing my favorite skate magazin
back into good form. I'd almo
given up on Thrasher when the pag
count contained more ads than fea
tures. But I'll leave the petty gripin
to somebody else. Instead, I'd like t
give some praise. First, I like tha
you're running photos of all kinds o
terrain again. For a while everythin
seemed completely focused on stree
skating and tech tricks. It's good
see some ditches, pools, ramps, an
parks in the mix. Maybe a few mor
vert photos? Also, photo sequence
are cool, but please run as many fu
page pics as possible (they're lik
sacred wallpaper). Center spreads ar
great too! The road trip/tour storie
are always welcome, and Michae
