Burnett's writing keeps getting bet-
ter. Keep it going! After reading the
September issue I'd like to propose a
couple of ideas for future articles.
That pic of Omar Hassan from the
Marseille contest was rad! Omar has
truly been blessed with an incredible
style. Strange that he won the contest
but only got one photo in the article."
Politics maybe? And I don't think he
has had an interview in a while.
Maybe now's the time. Also, over the
past several years my ankles and
knees have gotten increasingly worse.
These aches and pains definitely
affect my skating now, and I'm only
in my 20s! I've started stretching
before I skate, which seems to help
some. I'd like to continue skating as
hard as possible for as long as possi-
ble. A while back Salba penned an
article about pool skating. In this
article he mentioned how most
young guys don't think twice about
the physical wear and tear that skat-
ing causes, but that he includes
990 stretching and diet into his routine so
that he will be able to continue skat-
ing a while longer. Salba has probably
been ripping since I was in diapers
and might outlast me as well. I want
to know his secrets! Maybe Thrasher
could give Salba a page or two to
share his wisdom regarding fitness,
stretching, diet, etc. Those of us who
are falling apart before our time
might greatly benefit.

This is Aberdeen, Washington's
skatepark (above). It's a nice fucking
park. All the transitions are perfect,
which is rare in Washington. The
lighting is crappy unless it's baseball
season, because there are ballparks
all around. The drainage is fine
except at the bottom of the stairs. It's
on the south side at Morrison park.
'Most of the locals are friendly; it's
definitely a must-hit park if you
don't live too far away.

I love your magazine. I can't think
of anything bad to say about it
except WHAT'S WITH ALL THE
ADS?! I was reading the July 2000
issue and all the magazine was
about was Circa and Butterfinger!
Skating isn't about style! It's about
having fun, getting better, and
ditching the pigs! Ask any diehard
skater! T-ed, are you stupid or
what? Don't dis the homies! Tony
needs to go to a psychiatrist! First
he lands the 900° and then wants to
retire? No way! Bob might just have
to kick him out of the record books
so he'll have to come back to try to
