do a lot of tricks like flips (kick and
heel), blunt, method, and grinds. He
told me that he will teach me to do
some of this tricks. But I think that
he is just kidding. Do you think I will
have a future if I learned this tricks?
I know that all of your hardship will

ME TIME
Gary Mendigorin
Zambales, Philippines
I remember the good old days, back
when everybody skated. Back when I
could wake up in the morning and I
would have like 20 people waiting at
my door ready to go fucking skate.
But all that has changed now.
Everybody quit skating and turned
into what they called "thugs." What is
that shit about? All they do is smoke
weed and listen to Master P in their
new fresh-ass FUBU jumpsuits talking
about how they "is true soldiers." I
don't know what that means, but it
sounds to me like they're basically
saying they are true bitches. I wish I
could find at least one fucker who still
skated. I have dreams about skating
every night, and they usually end with
me waking up in tears. I miss it. I don't
see how somebody could quit skating
on purpose. I'll never quit, even if I'm
the only one in my town. Skate
and destroy.

Be leery of Seattle's underground
scene. It is riddled with snitches. I
mean paid informers for the pokey.
No skate dog is safe. I am now in the
county jail, along with several
snitched-out skaters like myself. My

another for "harassment," not to men-
tion others. I was squealed on by a
junkie, for a certain acid-drop bank
robbery here in Seattle. I am not from
Seattle, and was ignorant to the ways
of Capitol Hill. Fortunately, as a first-
time offender, I was charged with sec-
ond-degree robbery (as I had no gun).
I've received a nine-month sentence.

It just so happens that I came across
an old G&S Blur video around the
same time Blaize Blouin passed. I
must admit I was not that familiar with
his skating during his time on Earth,
but upon introduction I was immedi-
ately impressed. It goes without say-
ing that it is a shame that someone is
taken when it is far before their time.
His part in the video was so smooth
that it seemed as if skating came nat-
urally to him. His board control was
effortless as he transferred from bowl
to bowl, leaving the coping in his
wake. It is disappointing when we lose
any skater, let alone one who put so
much time into something he enjoyed.
My condolences go out his family
and friends as they suffer from a loss
of someone so close to them.
