My story is simple. I was a
cocaine addict and robbed a 7-11
to support my habit. That was
November 1995. In this past year 1
saw more hatred and resentment
for Generation X than I have ever
seen for any one social group in
my lifetime. We have been target
ed as the new Public Enemy and
drafted into the war against drugs
and crime, because to kill the
weed you must get the root. We
have been marked as the root.

dug us up. But they
can't. We have bro-
ken out of being a
minority and are
now a strong majori-
ty. We are strong
enough now to fight
back-to fight this
fucking war. We are
the inheritants of the
world, not the end
of it, and it's time to
take what is ours!
that I have been riding for twice as
long as most of the kids in NYC in
the St Marks and Washington Square
area and get zero respect from them
because of my "big wheels." Also, I
don't subscribe to the "baggy clothes
skatewear" stuff. I ride in my Levi's,
and they are very comfortable for the
type of riding that I do. I get so much
crap from these St Marks skatekids
and even more from the Washington
Square kids that I have to avoid these
areas altogether. So, the kids at St
Marks are starting to "get with the
program." At least the youth are, the
real young'ns, 14 and under.

I have been skating for 20 years
and have lived in NYC for 10. I start
ed out with steel wheels, moved to
clay and then Stokers and a zillion
other wheels over the years. I also
play in a band in the city, so I ride
everyday for transportation. Recently
my friend in LA hooked me up with
these new monster-sized wheels and
