We got to Columbus, Ohio, the next day and had in my opinion the
most fun skating on the trip. After riding the perfect Dodge cement
heaven for hours we went to the now extinct Sunsports Skatepark.
This is truly a sad thing to see go and I wish everyone there the best
luck in finding a new spot. Special thanks to Donny Humes for every-
thing. Columbus also features a great nightlife where if you're 18 and
up, you can get into clubs and have a blast.
The next day was the fourth
of July, and despite the anti-
firework laws in Illinois, Ron
decided to throw them out of
the car in broad daylight right
in front of a cop. Luckily, the
cop only took away the 'works
and left us on our way. That
night we checked out the best
lightning storm on the beach
and met up with some skinny
dipping Russians.
Next, we hit up Travel
Alternatives Skatepark near
Indianapolis for two days of
hot skating in a makeshift
street area/sauna. This stop
was a good example of the
attitude displayed by the pros
on this trip. No matter what
the situation was, these guys
always put in the maximum
effort to skate and answer
The next day we took off for Cheapskates in Penn-
sylvania, and after getting lost in the Philadelphia area,
we finally arrived at 5:00 am and slept on the pavement
in front of the park. That morning we drove up into the
mountains and went swimming in a pristine river bed.
Deliriously fun skating
went on at Cheapskates
with the Lopez brothers,
Jered, Jason, Jesse, Craig
and many others.

house did a demo at Cheap-
