Ron Whaley, Tim Brauch, Israel Forbes, Andrew Falkowski, Greg
Lamson, Rob Brown and myself set out on a spontaneous road trip
that nothing on earth could have ever prepared us for. After barely
surviving a lightning storm in Nebraska and just missing a dog
charging full speed against traffic on the freeway, we arrived at
the Drop In Skatepark in New Lenox, Illinois. We'd been driving
without sleep for 44 hours, but somehow we
all managed to have a killer session. As was
the case for every spot we went to on this
adventure, Tim was the instant local with all
the lines. Thanks to Bob, who was the coolest
park owner we encountered on this trip.

Skipping the top of a New York City car buster, Ryan Hickey
(opposite right), switch frontside 180 for the home team. When
the summer hits the city, there is only one way to cool off (oppo
site left) and that is with the hydrant. In Columbus, Ohio, Tim
Brouch (sequence) bore the heat long enough to flaunt some
mighty kickflips over the small hip, and ended up hauling ass
into the big bowl. Far from the scorching heat, Mr Whaley
(below right) blindside kickflips to fakie at Travel Alternatives.
