            Ottawa, Ontario
Population: 645,800
Just north of New York State lies Ottawa,
Canada. It's Canada's version of Washington
DC, the capital of the country and a major
tourist area. Most people come to look at the
Parliament Buildings and The Arts Centre. If that
isn't what you're looking for, try stopping by a
shop called En Equilibre, they have a bunch of
locals who can show you the more interesting
sights. Ask Paul Caron, if you are really nice he
might take you on a personal tour.
Huffing and puffing, Duane Pitre (right) sparks a noseslide in New
Orleans. Mr Chi-Town, Jesse Neuhaus (below), burns a bluntslide
on the shores of the Great Lakes. The gang (below right) take a
public bath at the fountain of Keiner Plaza in St Louis.
A well-greased ledge comfortably fits Brian Bowling's noseslide
(top left) in Calgary. Keith Chan (top right) nudges a 180° noser in
Ottawa. Jesse Sorenson (left) 180° kickflips some stairs in Toronto.
It's a shame, actually. We all have a lot in common. For one thing, we all pay
too much money for a piece of wood. The jackasses of the skate world have
already been given far too much exposure. I'd prefer to focus on a much rarer
commodity; the type of skater that deep down, everyone would like to be-
the nice guy.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
After blowing up Andrew's car and returning to Philly to get Adams, the
gang rolled into Pittsburgh early in the morning. Ben and 1, unfortunately, were
already beginning to acquire what I'll affectionately refer to as the "Just Short
of Death" illness we were fortunate enough to hold onto for the entire trip.
During our brief stay, we screwed around with a few locals downtown. I liked
Pittsburgh, but felt so ill that evening I would have been more than willing to
ventilate my head with a gun. Not in the best of moods, so to speak.
