TONY HAWK
There's really
not a lot to talk about-Tony's
simply the best in the
business. His contest record
reads like Tyson's, and he
hasn't even been close to
whiffed yet. Check out
1989: closed the '88
season with a first at the
Dayton NSA finals, second
at Vans, placed well on
the mini in Hawaii,
second in Savannah
street, third in Chicago.
street, first at the
Munster Mosh, first in
street and vert to close
'89 in St. Pete and
another daily double in
Del Mar to start '90.
Hawk has recorded
more first place wins
than any skater in

REESE SIMPSON - Reese likes to travel. He may hold the
record for most cross country trips in a car. Reese likes to party.
He usually winds up at the center of any raucous or heinous
goings-on at any major event. Reese likes to skate and has
probably hit more American skate spots than your whole crew.
Of all the amateur champions over the last five years, Reese
has shown the most promise and done the most damage.
BOD BOYLE Although he's only been pro for a couple years,
Bod seems like such the veteran. He's everywhere, and when
he's there, he's in the top bracket till the end. In 1990 you can
expect to see him start winning some big ones against the big boys.

history. He doesn't want to talk
about it though. If you call Tony he's "up at the
ramp" on his acreage in Fallbrook. Then again, he
might be surfing, or even leaving a message on the
Thrasher BBS. Where will skateboarding go next?
Wherever Tony goes, probably.
