GARY CROSS
Twenty-eight-year-old Gary has been
skating for longer than some of the hep
cats in this section have been breathing.
Since the early days of Cal Pro, Fat City
Racing and the N-Men. pools, ramps and
hills all over Sacto have been taking surf-
style abuse from this Gorp loving, Gor-Tex
wearing, skiing, snowboarding madman.
Turn up the Nugent, Who and Joe Jackson,
call up Dave Hayes, Malba and Windsor to
thrust some backside carve grinds and front-
side deathbox grinds and you know Gary
will be stoked. Find a killer slalom hill or a
giant kidney pool and Gary might even erit
an almighty "Zahh!" Photo: Mike Blanchard.

REMY STRATTON
Look out Los Alamitos. Remy
Stratton will flail on every vertical
structure in town Fueled by health
food, fired by fast. meaningful
music like Bad Religion and Blast,
inspired by Gator. Phillips, Reese
and the Chrome Domes, Remy
craves loud, fast, non-circus trick
sessions of death. Don't try to stop
him, because if he can't skate.
eighteen-year-old Remy will go
totally insane. On the other hand,
he'll remain on an even keel if
he's able to get known as an
amateur, travel, support his needs
and eventually be better than
the average pro. Photo: Chris Ortiz.
