ERIK JUEDEN
Erik's belief that "the worst risk of all
is not taking a risk" seems to sum up
his nine years of skating experience.
Ever since he was a nine-year-old in
Pomona, CA, Erik has zealously pursued
pools, vert and banks, barking grinds.
and other burly liptricks whenever
possible. Through these years of eating.
Mexican food, admiring anyone who
skates fast, everyone who tries and
George Orton, Erik has relished the
exhilaration of pure speed and the
knowledge that he can't blame his
mistakes on anyone but himself.
Thus he continues to skate, aiming
for the pro ranks and hoping to
eventually become a fireman.

BIG JIM MOORE
Twenty-year-old Jim Moore is a man
of focus. His one goal in life: to skate
faster. Every day for the past seven
years he has roamed the streets of
NYC, busting fast aggressive slap-
pies, lipslides and nose wheelies,
hoping to increase his velocity. If Doug
Smith, Bruno Musso, Ben Schroeder
or Barker Barrett is around, Big Jim
is bound to invite him out for a rip-
ping session, after which they'll crank
up the Cro-Mags, Wall of Voodoo,
Barry M. or Fear, grub out on cheese-
burgers and beer, and talk about
girls, snowboarding, Ireland, New
York and San Francisco. D.F.C.,

RON CHATMAN
In the past five years, Ron has ollied just
about everything in the greater Long Beach,
area. Ollie grabs, bench tricks, anything
frontside, you name it and Ron will do it-
as you long as you promise to buy him
some pizza and salad and agree with him
when he says "Rocco J's it." If he's not out
skating (hopefully with Remy Stratton),
Ron's probably at home drawing, reading.
listening to Hendrix, Bad Brains, Rolling
Stones, Clash and Pretenders, or planning
his next trip to find killer spots
