RON EMORY
Though he's more notorious for
his axe grinding in TSOL, Ron
has also done damage to a lot
of pool coping in his day. For the
past decade, Ron has hit key-
holes and kidneys with the likes
of T.A., Johnny Ray, D.P. and
Psycho Dave. He lives on beer
and junkfood, listens to Texas
blues (SRV), rocks with his
band Lunchbox, rolls in old
cars, collects antique radios,
guitars, amps and jukeboxes,
and hopes to continue this
lifestyle for quite while.
He also hopes to spread
his message to the world:
"Save a kid's life,
drain your pool."

CHET THOMAS
Huntington Beach is home to
this sixteen-year-old ripper/
ramp owner. Talk ollie blunts,
Tony Hawk, Ray Barbee, Steve
Saiz, ice cream, surfing, pro
possibilities, college and non-
competitive fun, and you're
talking Chet. Photo by M.Fo
BRIAN FERDINAND
On a sunny September day
in 1985 at the Bayfair BART
station in San Leandro, Brian
Ferdinand (then a mere twelve
years old) learned to skate. The
rest is a history of slappies,
downhill speed, ollie-blunts,
pools, Danny Sargent, Troy
Clower, J.J. Rodger, Jay West,
The Gonz, John Vallio, Tommy
Guerrero, Neil Blender, Chris
Olivera, AC/DC, Social Unrest,
A.O.D., Ozzy, Mexican food,
cookies n' milk, hot dogs, dirt
bikes, road trips and Nor-Cal.
Why Nor-Calf Because
"There's no other place like
Nor-Cal," dammit. Photo
