Gang Green guitarist and bassist
brother team Glen and Chuck Stil-
phen have parted ways with the
band. New guitarist Anthony Ni-
chols and new bassist Joe Giddle-
man have already begun playing out
with the Green.. Straw Dogs lead
axeman Steve Martin has taken up
the guitar duties for NY's Agnostic
Front. He will be recording a new full-
length album with the band this
winter. The second LP from NY's
infamous Cro-Mags will be entitled
Near Death Experience and will be
released on Rock Hotel/Profile in late
winter.
Black Flag's ex-bassist,
Kira Roessler, is currently residing
in Connecticut and has teamed with
Firehose bassist Mike Watt for a
Firehose opening act by the name
of Dos Basses....The "Stupid Ar-
gument Award," without a doubt,
goes to the manager of Wendy O.
Williams. At a recent show he got in-
to a yeller with some members of two
opening bands about other metal
bands. Instead of letting opinions be
opinions, the road manager threw
both bands off the bill so that they
couldn't play the show! Anvil Bitch
and Faith Of Fear (no mean
slouches in the music metalweight
division themselves) were both for
bidden to play and wound up wat
ching Wendy O. from the
sidelines. Poison 13 is alive and
kicking, with a new bass player,

Jamie, and a new drummer, Pat, ex
of the Offenders. Also, Tim Kerr has
rejoined the band again, with his dirty
wild slide guitar. He also has a
sideline band going-strictly scary
whiteboy funk. They shred and are

will have a 12" released on Plan 9
Records (the Misfits/Samhain label)
that will feature the rare out of print
Frat Cars EP. T.S.O.L. rumored to
be touring soon with Megadeth in
Europe. Other overseas notes have
Metallica touring with Metal Church
in Europe. Metallica will end the tour
headlining the Aardschock Festival in
Holland. Metallica's album Master
Of Puppets was one of the 15 albums
in '86 containing lyrics that were
found objectionable by the PMRC
and the PTA. Also on the list is Iggy
Pop's Blah, Blah, Blah and Metal
Church's The Dark The Cult's
new LP will be released on Def Jam
and is rumored to sound a lot like Led
Zepplin. Rick Rubin continues to
prove himself a wise record label
head with underground signings like
Slayer, Beastie Boys. The Cult and
another fave, that we're not allowed
to mention until the contracts are
signed, but guaranteed, the band.

reportedly sold over 600,000 units of
their new Lp Licensed To I, proving
the white boy rap rockers from NYC
have come a long way from their
hardcore roots EP Pollywog Stew..
Well, maybe it's been too long, but
Suicidal Tendencies will finally have
some new vinyl out soon. With
distribution by Caroline, the first
release will be a single called
"Possessed To Skate." You may have
already seen the video on MTV,
which contains skate appearances
by Steve Caballero and Natas
Kaupas. This hard-driving single will
be followed by Suicidal's second LP
Join The Army.
