ZINETHING
YOUR FISH ANTI-SOGALE
A comix/music model with a mean
streak, from Minneapolis, MN. Good
quality artwork, big review interview list
and comix that do their best to make your
skin crawl. Lots of knives and eyeballs
with themes that don't seem to look
forward to anything but more pain and
Sanger Published, edited, written, compiled
and designed by Peter Davis with a long-
ist of contributors. Distributed by Rough

happening, lots of stuff to help you think
about what occurs in your world and why
you should do something about it. Courtesy

WAS TE
Tuscon's own seem to do a good job of
covering their scene both music and
skate-wise. Issues are divided between
music and skate, with funny čomics
scattered throughout. Including No.5 with
Danny Devil, whose game show called
"What I'd Like To See" shows the audience
what it would be like if Michael Jackson
was in the White House. Only four bits for
interesting bits of Tuscon's hardcore
scene. Editor is John Sills. Writer is Rich
Steinheimer. Photographers are Fonda
Hamilton, Mike Kelly and Joe Butler.
A well done comix/funnies book from
Chicago, following in the tradition of Zap,
et. al. undergrounds from the sixties and
seventies with comics that make you laugh
and think (or vice versa). Ken and Tom
Roberts, Julie Adams, Tom Cornejo, Stan
Hughes and Scott L. Stevens put No.1 out
for $1.50 and No.2 for $2.50. Features for
issue 1 include Health & Fitness, Generic
Shopper, Fun Page, American Dream
"Everyman for Himself" (a dark commen-
tary on US) and more. Take a look and see
for yourself. A Helpless Anger production.
DOVE
Notes of unrest from the last frontier;
Disciples of Violent Entropy bring us
poems, prose, comix, reviews and quotes
of present disillusion from Anchorage,
Alaska. This first-rate zine sez: "D.O.V.E.
stands for disciples of violent entropy. For
those not accustomed with the word
entropy, it means change. We are disciples
of violent change, but that does not mean
we advocate violence. We believe that this
is the time for a radical change in the way
things are done everywhere in our world.
This is 1985, let's look to the future and not
stand in the shadows of our past." Maybe
it's the constant darkness and the cold in
Winter month's that provoke the notions of
D.O.V.E.; a look towards the future with a
clear mind and dark yet optimistic ideals.
THE
"POOL
From the mind and hand of "T'artiste
mutante Paul F. Chessare comes the
skate comic adventure, The Pool. It's a
dark story about skate bandits on a night
time pool rage ending in a brawl with cops
and plans to do the same on the following
night. "whata party. Stylish art and skatish
attitudes make this a necessary item for
any real collection, There was no mention
of where The Pool was published, but if
you can get a hold of this classic, buy it.
