I'm John Colenback, and this is
my skater friend Joe Gittleman. We
skate a lot with some other kids,
here in Cambridge, Ma. Snow or no
snow. We skate a pool and two
ramps which Alex Bushkoff wrote to
you about, in the April '84 issue.

HAWAII
I would like to comment on the
skate scene in Hawail. I am spend-
ing my summer here, and the skate
scene sucks. There is no cool skate
terrain on the whole island,
so don't go there to skate. Now, I
want to comment on the asses
who write in and say that hardcore is
the only music and all that trash. I
am into hardcore, Hendrix, and
even AC DC. I am not afraid of
having to fight just 'cause I spike my
hair, but wear a metal shirt. Open
your eyes, be aware of others, just
cause you like your music, under-
stand and pay attention to others.
Me and my friends also are a
skate-band (hardcore) called the
Batz. We play all music, not only
hardcore. So, once again, keep
your mind open. Thrasher shreds.

Washington, some people are
finding pools, some are riding
imitations of pools; whichever you

LA GRANGE, GEORGIA
Hi y'all, just want to send the word
on some of us good 'ole Georgia
boys. The Atlanta scene is way hot
with several ramps and several
bowls and banks being sessioned
daily. The Rome-Athens thing is
launching with a few ramps and also
Brian is skating again, he's (way too
hot). Russ Mullis is raising a big fuss
with his killer elite ramp in Warner
Robins and the boys in Columbus
and Albany have been getting to
business also. Here in La Grange
we have been skating a reservoir
daily. There are only about 3 of us
now but a few kids are coming up.
Now to the point of this writing, we
have begun construction on the
Bonker Ramp II and will be skating
by the time you get this.
