This is G.S.D.'s legendary skate rag. Always full of original
literature, cool short stories with meaning, cartoons and a
chronology of his moves from Ohio to San Jose, Calif., to
Southern California, where he now sleeps on the beach.
Memorable issues make for hours of reading fun. G.S.D. always
charges a stamp, and it's worth it. For the skater who can't
understand anything else but skating.

The virtual God of all skatezines. Put together by Mark
Conahan, BODYSLAM features his ripping drawings of skate
zombies and excellent stories and a cool fiction interview with
Skategod. Earlier issues feature color xerox covers, bizarre
fiction stories and humor. Look for some of Mark's work in future
issues of THRASHER, the guy's a maniac! Now get out of here,
I mean it. Oops, almost forgot, it originated in Oregon, but now
Mark has relocated to the East Coast, somewhere in Ashland,
N.H.

FORMAT: 5x7
Yet another rag from San Jose, Calif. With big photos and a
good overall layout. Includes Gary S. Davis interviews, Airborn
info, Herman ramp, the Bricks and more. Even though it needs
more pages, it still holds as a substantial rag.
APATHETIC INJECTION
FORMAT: 8 x 10
This is a true hardcore skate rag from Lincoln, Nebr. Although
the rough appearance and general layout are sketchy, this rag
comes through with a raw attitude and good informative articles.
Also included are hardcore record reviews and hilarious anti-
skate harassment cartoons.
This "Zine Thing" article has created quite a tremendous input.
The zines are piling in at the rate of a few every day, even as this
issue nears print date. So, to accommodate those zines worthy of
notice, it might be necessary to have further SKATE ZINE re-
views in future issues. So just because your skatezine might not
have made this cut, keep them coming. You just might get your Yes,
chance yet. Also, if you get a hold of one zine, they might have a I KNOW.
