The phone constantly rings its
never ending jingle, the postman
wearly walks up the concrete trail

do I get it?" seems to be on everyone's
mind these recessed days.
S.S. DECONTROL from Boston,
debut LP "The Kids Will Have Their
Say" is perhaps the best rabble-rous-
ing extreme vinyl of extreme
power and determination that has
been released in a long time. Absolute
straight edge dominates here as lyri-

The CRAVATS music sounds kind
of like the weird jazz cartoons I used to

They scared me in that special way,

The C.O.H. side of this LP bran-
dishes three formidable sticks

Looks like they're gearing for an audi-

I've always had special reserva-
tions for the Adolescents, of which R.
Agnew was a guitarist. On this album,
"All By Myself, it seems that Rikk has
gone ahead with what was supposed
to be the Adolescents' second album
and done it absolutely solo. Not bad
for this type of concept. It even sounds
like there's a complete band playing.
The album is definitely not one for the
circular file. He hits on a lot of song
styles (some take more time to ac-
quire a taste for), but still the album
rips. O.C. Life, Surfside, Fallingout,

RIOT 303
"Crowd Control"
The Northern Continent has
spurted out a few good bands, e.g..
D.O.A. and SUBHUMANS, but the
best to date is RIOT 303. From Cal-
gary, Alberta, Canada, RIOT 303 is
fronted by rockin' Ron Hadley, a
hardcore skate enthusiast in his early
twenties. His performance on this 4-
song EP is great. He says their songs
are just about anything you can think
about. Guerilla Warfare Man, Drugs,
Organized Religion, and Something
Living Under My Bed are the songs
and not one of them is a lemon. RIOT
303 blends the best of H.C., H.M. and
H.C. punk for their own brand of rock
'n' roll. This EP is a definite must.
DEAD KENNEDYS
Bleed for Me, Life Sentence
Jello & Co. are still cranking strong
with this one. Musically, I liked "Life
Sentence" a little more than "Bleed for
Me." But in content, both songs are
relevant to today's society, something
more of you kids should look into in
these last days. Stay tuned for new
