Every month I wait for my issue of
THRASHER, I read it like the bible. But
when I read, all I hear is a bunch of
complaining about closed down skateparks
or torn down ramps.
Me and my friend Matt "The Cat
Gallardo are the only skaters left in this
lame town, and I do mean lame! There is
not a park in the state, every time we
build a ramp or halfpipe the local uptites
tear it down, and the cops confiscate our
skate every time they see us riding it.
So why don't all you cats quit your
whining and be thankful for what ya got? I
don't even know what "gettin' air" is like.
There is hope though, we're makin' a
"road trip" to Calif. real soon. Please print
my vitals so's I can stop at everything that
has vert in the state.

That ramp I'm on in PHOTOGRAFFITI
is no longer! The fag that owned it
chopped it up for firewood! No kidding!
Well, that's his problem now, 'cause we
didn't need it anyway. Oh! I got news for
anyone in New England. Big Bear Skate
Bowl is still around and rideable in New
Hampshire. It's on route 13 in Brookline
(right over the Mass./N.H. border), not
much vert, but it's still a blast and fast. Oh
yeah, it's at the bottom of Big Bear Ski
hill, so there's no noise of the city! I saw
Black Flag last Thursday in Worchester.
The best. Met a bunch of fellow skaters
there. Well, gotta go to work now.
THE PROBLEM IS...

I've just received your March Vol. 2, No.
3 issue and I can't wait to get the April
and May issues. Skateboarding in Austria
is still undeveloped. All you see is little
kids riding around on small plastic boards
with 1½ inch trucks. The problem is that
there are no skateboard shops in Austria,
and hardly anybody knows that one could
order boards from the States.
Here in Vienna, there is a bunch of
Austrians which call themselves the
"Kryptonics Club." They own a halfpipe on
which they put up a show once in a while.
I think that skateboarding has no future in
Austria because of the majority of old
people. Most of Vienna's population
consists of old people.
I'm not an Austrian (thank god), I was
born in New York, but unfortunately my
parents moved to Vienna. Actually I'm half
Finnish as my dad was born in Finnland.
We're going to Sweden during summer,
could you please send me some addresses
of skate shops in Stockholm?
