ECUADOR
territory. Nothing like an added bonus to
the trip-coming across a skatepark that
hardly anyone even knows about.
Nightlife in town was on, and many of
the crew were swept up in salsa and suds.
Aside from the few cases of the runs,
some vomiting, and hombres with knives
and guns, things were mellow. The food
and beer is cheap, and people are friendly.
The local skaters ride the most ghetto
equipment and charge regardless. The
photos are all the evidence you need to
know it's worth taking a trip to Quito or
some other place you never thought you
would go. Some of the best times in life
come from just charging the unknown.
Having your board and a couple of friends
is all the comfort you need to leave the
luxury of home and take off on a mission.
Bottom line, road trips rule. Get out there
and experience all the goods there are to
skate, all the people there are to meet, and
all the crazy shit there is to see.
Skateboarding rules!

Peter shakes the hand of the
man who made the park.
Sparky, thruster a la Upland '88.
The locals love Pete.
