I just wanted to say hello; I just love
you. And I wanted to know just what
happened to SKATING? I remember
when you wanted to skate you and two
other guys would go over to Seth's place
and skated his halfpipe with Black Flag
or something blastin' on the radio. Now
it's like, "OK, I feel like skating, I'll just
go halfway across town to some piece-

I'm a private in the US Army, currently
going through boot camp in Ft.
Benning, GA. I am on Sand Hill at 2nd
Batallion 58th Infantry Brigade, also
known s2/58 House of Pain. If I only
had a board I could fuck some shit up. I
think they built this base to be skated,
'cause all the curbs and steps one e place
or another go to a gap. My partner
Parker and I check out all the skateable
terrain when we go to get our hair taken
off. We aren't allowed to have maga-
zines like Thrasher because they say it
interferes with our training, but like all
skaters I break the rules, and between
my partner and I we managed to smug-
gle in some skate mags. We
were checking out the May's
'99
issue and got t the idea of
telling you about all the se-
crets on Ft. Benning. Our
