we got there kinda late; sure enough,
we pull into their hotel, and they got
an empty swimming pool in their
hotel. Can you believe it? Square,
kinda tight, kinda late night, I don't
think I even had anything, but I
flurfed a little bit. Little pool action
going on out there. Pretty funny. It
was soaking wet. We lost a bunch of
money and cut the fuck out and went
to New York.
Wow, do you know people up in

I know some people but I've
always thought New York was
always more a crazy, weird thing,
like a hyped on itself kind of hype.
So I always kinda trip out on it.
Did you do a bunch of street skating?
Yeah, man. We went down to the
Brooklyn Banks and we saw hella fools
down there. Kenny Hughes, World Industries, Mike
Hernandez, Quim Cardona-man, there were like 200 kids down
there. The percentage ratio might be like it was a beautiful
Saturday, totally beautiful. One of those Sundays that just make
a bishop kick a hole in a stained-glass door. Good. Just good.
No way, man. So how long did you skate down there at the
Brooklyn Banks?
We skated there for a while. It just seemed kinda weird, because
there were like 200 kids but no one was making nothing. So we
just went out, grabbed our fireworks and took off into the night.
No way. So did you have a place to stay?
You know Shelter and Ivory? Those twin dudes from the old
Thrasher, they had a ramp up in Bolinas? Yeah, man, I guess those
guys live out there now. We went to the skatepark and hooked up
with them. There was a big metal ramp and shit out there. Sick,
