When I get there, I see many familiar, friendly faces that wear a similar expression to mine
(I wonder if bears look like this when they come out of hibernation). Anyway, everyone's
going off, it's a blast. But, wait a second, my board's gotten away from me, and it's headed
for the big bowl. I dive to try and save it,

but it's too late, and I've got too much
momentum going to save myself.

First my board, then me, immersed in half
water, half piss. It's time for another one
of those giant laughs. Oh, shit, I can't get
out, everything's all slimy and slippery. After much comical effort, I make it out. Everyone at
the park is laughing. I'm soaking wet. I drop in (thinking of a similar incident involving my
friend Roger). It feels good to do a piss-drenched Bert on the first day of spring.
