            SENCE
Thomas threw me in his truck and took me
downtown. A bunch of locals and I sampled
some of what Atlanta had to offer. Stairs, ledges,
banked walls, handrails, gaps, you name it, Atlanta
has it. Afterwards, Thomas took me to his ware-
house, which contains a 10 x 16' wide vert ramp
and a few quarter-pipes. The warehouse is also the
home of Phil, who lives behind the vert ramp.
For the next five days, Thomas, Phil, Stormy, and
Daniel were my tour guides of Atlanta and its out-
lying suburbs. They told me of the ordinance that
bans skateboarding downtown, and how the cops
like to enforce it. I was told not to skate the
Marta (subway) stations because those were usu-
ally an instant bust. They also informed me that
hit and run tactics were better than long sessions.
After stealing a bunch of the locals' souls with
my soul-catcher, I decided to say my goodbyes
and hit the open road. I thanked Thomas for his
kindness and generosity, hopped in my ride, and
with Georgia on my mind, headed for parts
unknown. -Sean Cronan
