1975 Ty Page
aka: Mr Incredible
Made the transition from clay to urethane
a breeze by way of the Ty slide, the first
actual four wheel slide used to control
speed. Still used today, we can thank Ty for
wearing out our wheels on the hills.

1977 Stacy Peralta
aka: The Director
Stacy Peralta skated with a polished precision that ele-
gantly underscored even the most extreme of maneuvers. His
landmark involvment in the ownership of a skateboard com-
pany inspired many other skaters into entering the business
world. Peralta's departure from same was provocatively
prophetic. Video productions that Stacy organized served to
foster skater communication on a worldwide level.

OD'd on coke on TV's St Elsewhere
Never had "short" hair
Edgers, schweelers, boinkers, rim shots
1976 Greg Weaver
aka: The Cadillac Kid
When the sport changed from soul
cruising to pool thrashing, Greg Weaver
got lost in the crossfire. The last of the surf
cruisers and mag glamour boys, he
embodied the spirit of the 70's surf skater.
He rarely wore shoes
