HARD LINE
Hello, my name is Scott. This is my first
year skating and I'm from Canada.
Anyway, I'm commenting on three let-
ters in your August '96 issue
On "Dead Cops: What the fuck, cops are
"nice"? Bullshit, I wish cops were dead.
Two days ago I was skating with my
friend Jeff at our favorite curb. Cops
roam around once in a while. Jett got two
warnings there already. They drove by
us, and I thought that was strange, so we
ran. Thirty seconds later, they went
around to piss us off or, even worse, take
our boards. So, I'm saying to Dave Ritter,
are you crazy? Cops suck.
To "More Bacon: I'm not racist and the
same for Max Regan. Anthony Conti, I
think you've got it the wrong way. Max
was just explaining how cops are such
assholes. He wasn't being racist at all. I
think you shouldn't jump to conclusions.
Max Regan, your drawing explained much
about what cops are like. Asshole pigs. All
cops go to hell.
And, last, to "It Worked": I also think
rollerbladers are dickheads. Why don't
the cops pick on them?

I have never had anything personal
against you and still don't, but that letter
of yours kind of annoyed me. It sounds
like you're bummed that these "fresh
guys from Philly and DC are checking out
SP and getting coverage. Why
not? It is, by the way.
the best skatepark in
the world. And, who
do you mean from DC,
Scott Johnston? Reese
Forbes? Yes, they seem
to have good personal
hygiene, dress well, and.
most importantly, are
fresh, exciting skateboard-
ers. And, from Philly, Ricky
Oyola? Fred Gall? I don't
know about funky fresh, but I
do know they are dope, excit-
ing skaters you can't fade. But,
whatever, it ain't all about who
can "rip" on who. It is just some skaters
stand out by doing creative, exciting
tricks, and just looking sick on a skate-
board; then there are those who are
good, above average skaters, but are bor-
ing, which don't matter if they are having
a good time skating. That is why we ride
them. is it not?
I would not have even written this if
you didn't mention the Great Gonz. I
mean, how dare you mention your name
in the same paragraph as him? As far as
Thrasher "letting him make a come-
back." that is fucking retarded. We should
just be happy he made his presence and
skating available for more photos of the
all-time king of street skating. It sounds
like disciples. Shit, you, like I, have been
here since the beginning. I just thought
you knew. He was my inspiration and
Idol when I slid my first handrail ten or
eleven years ago and still is today.

NO BRAIN
We've never written to a magazine
before. I've always kind of thought it
was for fags who have mad free time.
Well, we're locked up and have
mad free time now! We were
reading the magazine and figured
y'all would want to hear our
story about why we're locked
up. First of all, we're at this
fucked up forestry camp in
bumfuck Western Maryland
and it sucks! It's more like a
concentration camp.
It all started one day
when we were way
smoked out and started
skating. We were in this
park thing, doing shit off
this picnic table deal, and
this park ranger cop guy (major dick-
head started fucking with us, saying
shit like, "You're messing up the paint job
on that bench. Stop destroying public
stuff. You're a menace to society, you are
hooligans." Well, due to our hazed look
and blank stare, he decided to be a major
asshole and search our bags. He found
some ill-boat and weed. The amount of
weed got us "possession with the intent
to distribute" and other bitch shit, so we
got locked up. It's a true story, I swear.
Well, the moral of this is cops suck (like
you didn't know that already) and don't
skate with drugs or some shit. I dunno...
Take it from us kids-jail blows.
