            Eric Dressen
Eric Dressen, son of Sarge, just may be the last authentic character to come down the pike. A
throwback to the days when you rode hard and kept your mouth shut. No bullshit here. He won
multiple world championships, laid low, and split. Raised in the hyper hyperbolistic Dogtown media.
circus, he learned early to keep his own counsel. If you were there, then you know already. If you
weren't, well, Eric D don't really give a fuck anyway. Authenticity never wears out. CR Stecyk III
Looking back, I've seen and done so much since I started skating. For almost twenty years, skateboarding has been
my life. Ever since the third grade, I wanted to be a professional skateboarder. When I first got sponsored and in
Skateboarder Mag when I was ten, it was a dream come true. I got to meet and skate with almost all the best skate-
boarders back then. It was great to be buddies with my favorite skateboarders. When I eventually became a pro, I
took it very seriously, in contests, giving total concentration, and maximum effort was a matter of personal honor.
I've done demos all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, England, all over Europe, Scandinavia,
Japan, and East Berlin before the wall went down. While travelling. I've made a lot of good friends around the
world and got to skate many rad spots. I racked up over a hundred thousand frequent flyer miles one year. I was
always down for any demo or contest anywhere. I have a history of being ripped off, stabbed in the back, and lied.
to by the skateboard
companies I've rid-
den for. I'm scarred
head to toe from
skateboarding with
the usual abrasions -
stitches, two broken
wrists, one brutally
broken arm and
have had my knees
drained on a few
occasions, but have
always brushed it
off and never let it hold me back. After a knee-tweaking handrail bail, I had to undergo a 3 1/2 hour orthoscopic
surgery on my knee; I had a torn arterior cruciate ligament. Now I feel like I'm skating better than ever. Been
learning new stuff and really stoked on street skating. I don't have any future plans, except skating. Eric Dressen
