I write concerning the
letter "Blood Type" in the
September 1995 issue. It really
warms my heart to hear someone
publicly admit to being a vampire
and standing up for vampire
rights. I'm glad to hear someone
besides me defending the
vampire name. I'm a 19-year-old.
nomadic vampire originally from
Houston, TX. I have yet to go to
Canada, but I would like to go.

I am very disappointed
with your video "How To:
Skateboard." The instructions for
the tricks are not as detailed as I
expected. I am able to do a
stationary ollie, but cannot do it
while riding. Drake Jones does the
ollie very well, but the
introduction/fade-in to "Ollies,"
where Drake ollies while riding.
wasn't explained, just the
ollieing in
order to nose
or tailslide.
After all, the
tape is called
"How To
Skateboard."
This video is
not what I
expected and
is very disap-
pointing.

Rock on, Thrasher, you
guys are the shit. Anyway, I'm
writing in response to the "Fifteen
Free Spots" article in the Feb '96
issue. Thanks for the advice on
places to go, but number 15 is
kind of fucked up. It says, "Right
outside of your front door is some
of the most creative terrain in the
world." That's true, but in my
neighborhood skating is outlawed
and the nearest park is about an
hour away. We've tried everything:
petitions to legalize street skating.
for a skatepark, and for
everything else. They just don't
