Handrail fever is all the rage and the
feeble grind (left) is one of the better
sounding tricks to do on them. Schizzzing!
On a common bump (right), Israel's long
legs make this 360 flip all good. Having
been in the shadows for a few years
allows Izzy to dig deep in the trick bag
to bust the ol' meloncellie (far right) on a
deserving hip kicker. Hanging with Ron
Whaley will always push you in the
crazy step pap no comply department.
Watch as Mr Forbes busts out a stranger
than fiction kickflip fastplant (sequence
on a more than grindable ledge.
You don't go down to the cor-
ner store at midnight?
how good they do. It's good to
do your best, but it's always hard
No, I'll get a bottle thrown at adapting to new situations or
me or something.
If you could travel to one place
in the world right now and
skate for free, which spot
would you choose?
It'd probably be somewhere in
Europe. I'd like to go to France
and skate. Those bowls over in
Marseilles, France, look fun. And
a lot of cement parks are fun, the
ones in Canada. I like that stuff,
growing up skating Derby.
So you enjoy riding trannies?
Yeah, I like whatever is there.
What do you like most about
skateboarding?
Probably just going around
from place to place with some of
my friends, skating around, that's
really fun instead of just staying
at one spot, just hitting things
along the way.
What else do you like to do?
1 like to draw a lot, just pretty
much any kind of art like painting
or sculpting.
What's your definition of a pro
skateboarder in today's world?
Somebody who goes to the
events and just tries to have a
good time and not worry about
new spots, and to go and have
fun and not have an attitude.
What does the future hold for
Israel Forbes? What have you
got planned?
Just to improve, to grow, and
get better all around.
Who would you like to thank?
My family and all of my spon-
sors and people who've spon-
sored me along the way like Jeff
and Skateworks, all the people
there, Etnies, Greg Carroll, Ron
Whaley and all my friends.
