It will be a while before you meet anyone with more pop than
Reese Forbes. Watch as he comes down to earth (below) long
enough to land this backside lipslide. The prince of New York,
Quim Cardona (opposite top), wallrides to fakie in the heat of
battle. A very snow poked lien is all Mike Maldonado (oppo
site right) is thinking about. Too bad there is no snow. Charlie
Wilkens (opposite bottom) is far from hibernation in the dead
of winter while navigating this hyper backside tailgrab.
The mini-ramp was ruled by Bam Margera, Matt Reason,
Rob Erickson, Kenny Hughes, Pat Guidoti from Screw
Skateboards, Mike Vallely and later on Donny Barley.
Numerous amateurs of whom I do not know also turned it
out. The "metal" guys were testing the various rails and
ledges that were strewn across the course while little skate
rats got in your way. I must have gotten hit twenty times by
other skaters and their boards, but that shit happens when
there are four hundred skaters in an indoor facility and it's
fifteen degrees outside. That's the East Coast for you in the
winter time. We have to make do and travel to the warm
indoors and skate it while we can, because you sure can't
skate in the freezing rain and snow.
