OVERCOMING ALL THE ROADKILL, highway fuzz and extremely cold
temps, we somehow made it to Edison, New Jersey, for a twelve-
hour skate fest fund-raiser to benefit multiple sclerosis. The course
was built by the Ramptech people, and it received a double thumbs-
up because it was killer. The first pros I saw were Fred Gall, Ricky
Oyola and Matt Reason. Philly, DC, New Jersey and NYC were in the
house. This was going to be twelve hours of raging, complete with
every pro and am from the East Coast.
The session on the wedge-to-wall was out of control. Most of
the pros were doing every variation of wallrides, switch and regular,
and doing them smoothly. Tony Cox landed a backside wallride 360°
shove it out. The East Coast deluxe crew and Philly boys controlled
the wall while photo and video leeches tried to steal some souls.
