Pace
is the key to any
successful road trip. If you start
off too fast, you crash and burn, too
slow and it ain't no fun. The secret is finding a
good running speed and settling into a groove. When you
roll with some other heads, that cadence is impossible. Like a run-
away train on a track headed for the edge of mortality, skaters from all over
the world invaded the European continent. Some spent their time skating in the con-
test arena while others sought out spots far away from the crowds to try and kill themselves.
Such was my tribe and my quest. The first stop was Lisbon, Portugal.
