ed to go. I dig Keith a lot. I didn't want
to burn him or anything. It just hap
pened that way because I wanted to
ride for Black Label as Dogtown was
ending because they had sent me
boards before. And then Simon was try-
ing to get me on, and Wade was trip-
ping out and so was Karma. Karma was
like, "I'm going to quit." And I was like,
"Where am I going to go, what am I
going to do?" So, I don't know, I always
dug Black Label. They're so fucking bad.
Have long did you ride for them?
About five years or something.
What made you quit?
Because Julien started this new com-
pany called Anti-Hero, and he wanted
me to be a part of it, and I'm super
stoked. It's going to be sick.
I noticed you've been skating a lot
lately, like all the time.
Yeah, because this new company has
inspired me so much to skate, it makes
me want to go skating all the time. Like
I have a burning flame inside that I just
want to keep burning fatter and fatter.
What's your favorite place to cruise
around in SF?
I like to go skating around every-
where, cruise up and down Mission
Street, just walk up and down to check
out all the little stores, just go check out
all the cool little trinkets in the store, all
the pawn shops, that shit's rad.
What music do you like lately?
I've been listening to X-Raided and
Brother Lynch.
Where are they from?
Sacramento.
Do you have any plans in store
for the summer?
Yeah, totally. I want to go trav-
elling with Julien, Tobin, Sean,
Eric Jay and Bob. I want to go
out, just go and hit places up, just
go skating everywhere we can,
just destroy everything in sight,
wherever we go.
What do you like so much about living
in Lake of the Pines?
Well, it's nice because you just go out
whenever you want to, go swimming.
go shooting guns, just go to the river. I
like it up there. I go fishing with my
friends, Miles and Bay, it's so much fun.
I love going up there, fishing and camp-
ing, and just being around the house
because it's all nice.
Do you think you'll ever live in a city?
Maybe I could go to the city for a
while, but I'd always have to come
home and visit my parents and just chill
out for a while. There's this constant
buzz on your head while you're in the
city the whole time.
It gets too much after a while?
Yeah, it starts to fuckin' bug you out,
so you've got to break out and go chill
and shoot guns.
I know you're into collecting guns,
which one is your favorite?
I've got an 1899 30/30, it's a Model
94. It's like the oldest gun I have, it's
super sick. It's probably killed a bunch
of indians. And I've got a shotgun too
that I like a lot. It's a Stevenson, twelve-
gauge, side-by-side, super sick, hella fun
to shoot clay pigeons with.
Do you like girls or boys?
I like my girlfriend. Her name's Rose.
What's the fastest board sport that
you've ever done?
Snowboarding's the fastest, like when
you bomb down shoots and shit. You
bomb down these gnarly shoots, and
you come out in this powder, and you're
just fuckin' hauling. And when you're
going by trees and shit, that shit is so
sketchy and so much fun.
