Me and my friends got tired of being dictated to
by Pee Wee football coach skatepark managers,
tired of cities telling us we don't meet codes, or that
our neighbors' rights were more important than our
own. So we bought The Ramp House vert ramp. A
few twists and a lot of work later, we had The King
Dong Ramp. The ramp is situated on fifty acres in
Walker, West Virginia, along the Ohio border.

If your scene sucks or someone else has regulat-
your skating into a 40x40' area fully padded with
a list of rules five feet long, maybe it's time to take
back your sport. I suggest ramp skaters pool money
and buy land in a desolate area. Then start building,
preferably with concrete, but wood will do, too. For
street skaters, a good routine is to go to city coun-
cil meetings full force, taking everyone you know
with you. Skaters have the same rights as basket-
ball, tennis and horseshoe players, who all have
public money spent on their sport. Most important-
ly, realize it is your sport and your choice.
By the way, sharing your scene also helps pro-
mote righteousness and inspire others. Our ramp is
open to all skaters and camping is promoted. So
bring your skate and come rip. -Brewce Martin
