Gershon Mosley
Anyone who has had the pleasure of
road tripping with Gershon Mosley
knows that he lets his skating do the
talking. A mini-ramp master who can
ollie above your navel, Gershon is back
in San Jose after a sojourn to Idaho.

Who do you ride for now?
Milk.
Are things going good for you?
They're just kind of starting up, but I have
two new boards, a slick and a wood.
What have you been doing lately?
Skating and hanging out with my friends.
Why did you move to Boise, Idaho?
Part of it was money, and also as a change
of scenery too. I had to do it just to see how
it was in other places.
What goes on up in Boise?
It's pretty mellow, it's not as big a city and
people know each other there."
Do they have a skatepark?
I think they're building one.
Where did you start skateboarding?
I started in San Jose at the end of 1988,
when everybody started quitting.
Who did you start skating with?
I had a friend, his name was Blong, and he
quit skating a little bit after that
Do you skate with a lot of people now?
Not really. I skate with my roommate. John.
and my friend, we call him Axle Boot, his,
name's Nick, he's from Los Gatos.
Are you glad to be back in SJ?
It's pretty fresh. It has everything here.
No vert ramps.
Yeah, except for vert.
Do you skate pools?
I try to skate everything, but I'm afraid of
heights, so vert's kind of something I'm not
really into, but I skated a vert ramp in San
Diego last year, and I was stoked on it. But
there's none around, so I don't really try it. 1
think for vert, it would be more lip tricks for
me just because it's so high. In mini-ramp, I
like to try to get the air.
If they had a gun to your head and they
said, "You got one trick before you die,"
what would you do?
I look at these flip tricks to grab they do on
vert, and I think I'd try a backside heelflip
Indy grab to revert.
A 360 heelflip Indy?
Yeah.
