Sitting Material
The fever to ride had reached Chuck's brain about a hundred billion
raindrops ago. Watching videos only increased the pain. He had to get
out, to session something, anything. He'd practiced flips on his carpet
all day and even that was no good. Then an idea hit him like a bullet
through the head: He could go across the street to Nick Nambla's
Sludge Shack, site of the world's heftiest grease burger (a sheer triple-
pounder), and also home to Podunk's best curb, located under a protec-
tive canopy that shielded it from the rain. Chuck looked across the
street and saw that Nick's was empty except for a white 1982 Olds-
mobile Cutlass parked way on the other end. Chuck grabbed his board
and bolted over, barely pausing to stomp the rain from his feet before
be sailed into a kickflip noseslide the length of the curb. He was still
looking down at his shoes when he was sideswiped in the face by a...
BLINDSIDE BOLOGNARAMA
1 large loaf French bread
1 pkg (1 lb) beef bologna
2 sliced bananas
4 whole chili peppers
1 can (8 oz) cranberry sauce
• 6 dill pickles (sliced)
⚫mustard and mayo to taste
⚫hot sauce
Slice loaf lengthwise and prepare
with mustard and mayo. Layer with
bologna, mushrooms, peppers, pick-
les and tomatoes. Slice cranberry
sauce and position atop the heap.
Add bananas, lettuce and hot sauce.
MEATLESS MESS
• 2 slices of bread
1 pkg cream cheese
1 large chill pepper
• 1/4 cup chopped olives
Spread cream cheese across bread,
add remaining ingredients and gob-
ble the goo, it's good for you.
LOP CHONG GRILL
1 Chinese lop chong
• 2 slices bacon
2 slices white bread
1 slice American cheese
• 1 stick of butter
Wrap lop chong in bacon and place
in frying pan with the butter. Fry
until all the butter is soaked up or
the bacon is blackened. Wrap with
cheese while bacon is still sizzling.
Place inside white bread with choice
of condiments. For a Breakfast Lop
Chong, add one fried egg.
CLEAN SANDWICH
1 can lentil beans
1 can cooked clams
lettuce
tomato
.mustard
• olives
Mash lentils and clams in a bowl
while slowly adding mustard until
mix becomes a thick paste. Gently
stir in diced tomatoes and olives.
Spread on bread, place lettuce and
enjoy. For a Chewy Clean Sandwich,
substitute squid for clams.
THE CAPTAIN'S CATCH
• 2 slices sourdough bread
6 frozen fish sticks (breaded)
1 bottle tartar sauce
•2-3 leaves of lettuce
• 1 sliced tomato
Let fish sticks thaw while you're out
skating. Garnish the bread with tar
tar sauce, lettuce and tomato. Lay
down the fish and close up the
whole deal. Now chow down.
