hen Jesse Paez made a 180° over the Four at Wallenberg, it was one
he goes big and his little brother Richard is bad ass too.
When did you start skating?
When I was about thirteen years old. My brother Richard and I lived in this gnarly
town called Culver City in Los Angeles and we both would do
were doing. We would skate for a few weeks and then ride roll.tever the other kids
then BMX, but
I always liked skating the best. I remember skating the Alpha Beta curb, just trying to
railslide the whole thing. That was one of the first tricks I learned, just skating there all
day trying to do the whole thing, but I wasn't really that serious about
Then what happened?
My family decided to move to Visalia, and when we moved, there were so many
skaters everywhere, that was when skating was super big, it was about 1989. It just felt
so natural to skateboard because that's what all the other kids were doing.
Who did you look up to then?
Here in Visalia, Karma and Dale used to always stoke me out. I also remember
watching Tom Knox just fully ruling it. And I'd always stoke on Gonz and Natas.
