I really don't have any problems
with skateboarding these days. My
company is taking good care of me
so I don't have any complaints.
How can we change it?
The NSA didn't really do a good
enough job for the SF contest.
They lag on getting the full amount
of wood for more ramps, speaking
from a professional point of view.
What are you willing to do?
I'm willing to do a good job for
myself and for my company as well
as my family and friends.
What's good about skating?
Just the freedom of skating your
day away whenever you want. And
feeling good about yourself after a
good day of skating.
we're standing here negative and
defensive thinking about doing
something else. You have to wear a
bozo wig so you won't get laughed
at so you can at least be free. I feel
painted into a corner.
How can we change it?
The ones in charge of the cliques
know what's going on. They've got
every right. They're just doing their
thing. They're just respected
skaters. Everyone just follows them.
I guess what I want is just for every-
body to loosen up. We need more
renegade skaters like Paulo. He's
totally different, he doesn't try to
be like anyone and everybody
respects him.

Try to be an example.
What is good about skating?
There were no "good old days."
Skating is so much more advanced
now. I just feel sorry for the begin-
ners, the videos must scare them to
death. There have always been
cliques, but they're just more fine-
tuned now and it's easier to see the
negative attitudes.
How do you define a pro?
It's really hard to say. The way
that someone does stuff, not what
he does so much.
Have you ever thought about just

When I look around, I think of it
all the time. But then when you just
go on your own, you realize that
you can't stop.
