even get to the lip, and you're busting all these
crazy tricks.
Yeah, I like to think of myself as an all-around
skater. I'm no technical wizard, but I like to try
new and different things all the time.
What are some of your favorite spots?
You mean point breaks? The left at Gun-
derson's is good, the double bowl break and
nugget in Palo Alto, Caballero's favorite banks-
the Rock Banks, Napa dunes and Benicia beach.
What about EMB?
I checked out the surf a couple days ago, I want
to skim the Gonz but the skimboard is wider than
the concrete so it might be pretty sketchy.
What about spots outside the Bay Area?
Yeah, I like to travel, but mainly it's been around

It's a long story, but I was at a party at some
girl's house in Sacto and some guy broke her win-
dow. I kind of liked this girl so I started pushing

was shooting photos when this cap came dri-
ving by and I started freaking out, so I started
jamming to get to my car to change all quick style
and the cop came to my car and asked me what
I was doing and I'm all, "Skating these banks." So
he got out some book and started asking me all
these questions, taking down my name and stuff,
saying it's illegal to skate in Los Gatos. I almost
got an indecent exposure ticket for my g-string.
I get all sketchy when I skate that place now.
There have been numerous other times, but right
now I'm trying to be low-key
How come you quit New School?
Well my friends were all tired with the corpo-
rate bullshit and decided to start their own com-
pany called Sonic and wanted me to ride for them
but I liked things at New School so I had to real-
ly think about things, but I'm stoked, I don't
only ride for Sonic, I'm also the team manager.
We have Kit Erickson and Tom Knox, but I'm
still trying to get it all together right now.
So what tricks do you have up your sleeve?
Now that winter's coming, my dad Dod is
designing a binding which allows both feet to
be removed and I'm going to be one of the first
to do a kickflip on a snowboard in the snow.
