DON'T TREAD ON THE FLOWERS
Corner
My friend Ben and I skate to school everyday. Across the
street from the police station and right in front of an apart
ment building is a seven-inch high curb that is about one-
foot wide and twenty-feet long. It drops three feet down
and goes over two-foot high flowers for three feet.
Early one morning, we decided to try some stuff over it. I
was trying to 180 it and Ben was trying to varial it, and we
both kept landing on the flowers. We crushed them to half a
foot when an old hag came screaming out of the apartment
in her bathrobe and bunny slippers. She hollered at us in
broken English for three minutes until my friend picked out
the word police. He immediately said, "No police, we
replant flowers!" She said, "I call police! You ruin my flowers!
I call police!" I said, "I give you my number, you can call
my parents and I will replant your flowers." She said okay,
and I gave her some number off the top of my head. She
probably knew it was a fake number, but we aren't going by
her house for a while.
