History often repeats itself. And now that our sport is over 35 years old, it is time to salute
the common threads that all skaters share. If growing old means constantly chasing the
tail of youth, then skateboarders have it wired. The legacy of skateboarding is there to be
laughed at, gassed on, vibed, forgotten and exaggerated all at once. Punks, surfers,
preps, jocks, rednecks, metal heads and movie stars have all skated. From hundreds to
millions overnite. Your mom skated. Yeah, it's all been done before and it don't mean shit
when you're waking up to the rest of your life. Now let's go out and get some.
