America is controlled by police and
the police protect only a chosen
few. Those chosen few are usually
rich white folks. I personally have
never been helped by an officer of
the law, only hassled. Hassled for
playing on my so-
called toy.
Skateboarding.
It's something I
love and that I
could never stop
doing. Skate-
boarding is such
a minute issue in
this world, but
cops in my town
make it out to be
a capital crime.
With all of the
issues and prob
lems in this world
you would think
that people, not
just cops, would
focus their atten-
tion on that. Well some people live
in a dream world and think every-
thing is just dandy.
I know cops have a lot more
things to do than hassle skaters,
but skateboarders aren't danger
ous, so they are prime targets. I've
been hassled for twenty or thirty
minutes by cops. In the meantime,
someone is getting raped, robbed,
shot or stabbed, not to mention the

and bike riders
don't get hassled? Is it because the
people doing it are considered nor
mal by our society's standards?
Skateboarding will never be accept-
ed because of it's e-style, different
clothes, music and the fact that
skateboarders think for themselves.
We are not controlled by television
and school like the mainstream.
The government wants us all to
think the same, so the system will
still remain the
same. Tax the
poor and middle
class, while the
rich become
yet even more
wealthy. The
system we are
taught to believe
in is not what we
think. According
to the cops, you
are guilty until
proven innocent.
But, at least me
and all the other
people in this
world with a
clue, realize
there are real
criminals out there. Too bad cops
waste their time eating doughnuts
and making traffic stops.
It is time we start asking govern-
ment at all levels for change in the
interest of the people. They need to
lose their greed and start working
for us. Whether we are black or
white, football player or skateboard-
er, we need government that can
make things better for all of us.
