TALK
To Mongo or
not to Mongo?
There's a name for
people who push
with their front
foot. It's called
Mongo Foot, and
not only is it ugly
it has other draw
backs like in the
shallow end of a
tight pool where
foot placement is
cntical Being
mongo is the kind
of thing that most
people don't notice
until someone
points it out. If you
are of the modem
breed of skater
you should be able
to push both ways
so as to evenly
distribute the exer
cise of pushing A
lot of mongos will
see other mongos
push and realize
how ugly it is and
immediately switch
to the other foot
Vert mongos are
noticed that much
but the street
dudes look pretty
funky when they
charge at some
thing with they're
back foot pointed
the opposite direc
tion it helps for
some tricks, ke
bearplants
because you are
already used to
taking your front
foot off, and no
complys are a
breeze. If mongos
are usually lett
handed, maybe it's
because the way
that people learn
to throw a rock
designates them
goolys or regulars
Left-handed
people are usually
gooly foot while
right-handers
usually ride regular
foot Hey, if mongo
is the way you feel
the most comfort
able more power
to you but be pre
pared to handle
the heckling
