arrived in San Francisco, everyone
who saw Jesse swore he ripped.
Little Man wore the latest jive

becued 400 pounds of chicken in
a free eat-for-all Thrasher-style
farewell lunch for John Dettman. In at

the foundry fatmen. Also on tap was Muir,
who gave away a car to one of the evil
genius twins. McGuire's pet rat ate well.
Detters was hiding his quiver of bikes prior
now claiming to be "in training." The Ever-
ready Eddie has been melting wheel cores
and shifting bearings in his pursuit of excel-
lence. Now he figures he'll go "real fast."
TIRADE SHOW
Once again it was the unusual as busi-
ness. Rumor of the moment was that
Gator had been released for lack of evi-

ASR and the skate industry now appear to
be heading toward an NSA contest to be
held during a future show. (Somehow
instrumental in all of this were Larry
Balma, Jim Fitzpatrick, J. Le Coq, Don
and Danielle Bostick and the irrepressible
Rich Flowerday.) Jim Kempton was talk-
ing art with Seymour, who was taking
