D. SARGENT VANISHES ON TOUR...
Headquarters furious!!
Daniel Corbett Sargent, original DEAL teamrider and resident of San Francisco,
returned home this week from a twelve day European demo tour, two months late. That's
right, two months. I seems Danny decided to change route about four days into the tour
without notice, and secretly headed to Amsterdam with a few friends he hooked up with
along the way. The rest of the team was left in mid tour completely baffled, and reported
the strange disappearance to N.D. headquarters in Costa Mesa, who in turn reported the
incident to the Association for Freespirited and Adventurous Teamriders (who decided to
give him a free year membership for his bold venture).
When Sargent returned to the U.S., he casually called down to the factory, and
was met with the angry voice of the head honcho. When questioned at length on his
motives for taking flight from the tour, Danny simply replied,
"At least I was skating everyday and havin' some fun!"
We'll be looking for more from Danny on future tours, and looking forward to the
release of his new model soon...
