here are a lot of guys and gals
out there who will tell ya contests
SUCK! Surf, snow or even skate
contests can bring out the worst
in weather. Compounded by lack
of surf, no snow, kinked ramps,
sponsorship hassles, fan pressure,
pesky reporters, etc., it's a wonder
the organizers of such sports even
bother. But, if you are a pro, you
have to enter and do well in con-
tests to make enough money to
free ride the rest of the time. So,
in honor of the competitive spirit

board events that have taken
place so far this year.
