I was wondering, what is Sex-
Wax? I hear about it but can't find it
anywhere. Could you send me
some or tell me where I can get it?

DEE PEE
I think Duane Peters should kick
Jeff Grosso's ass for even com-
paring himself to the "Master of
Disaster." Grosso is a crybaby and
wants the whole world to attend his
pity-party. Duane is the embod-
iment of the skate attitude. Quit
whining and skate!!!

CHECK-SKATE
Greetings my fellow
citizens of the U.S. of A. I
play lots of chess and
think that we, the mi-
nority, are unapprec
iated and should band
together. What I mean
is that chess players, skaters,
abacus users, and skate musicians
should get together and be for
each other instead of against, until
society can accept us for what we
are and treat us correctly. I mean,
isn't there something we have in
our judicial system that states
innocent until proven guilty? The
First Amendment says we have
freedom of speech, and that is how
I am writing this letter. I say we use
what we can, because it's our
privilege. My point is:

Bush (who promised no new taxes)
is a king on a chess board, the leg-
islature is the queen, the judiciary
system is a rook, the media and
press are bishops, the welfare of
the people is a knight (since the
knight is useless) and we are
merely just puny, worthless,
powerless pawns.

BACK TO AFRICA
I'm 25 and have been skating for
about 12 years (lost)
count a long time ago).
I've only recently got
turned on to all the rad
new tricks, and only found
out that airs exist when
magazines and videos
started to filter through
here to South Africa during
the boom of the late 80s.
Kids think I'm lame because
I can't do kickflips, but I just smile
when I leave them standing on a
good, steep hill. As far as racism
goes, sure, most of the skaters you
see are white, as they are the only
ones who can afford boards-can
you believe 600 bucks for a set-
up?! Also, in a lot of the townships,
(blacks and whites live in separate
areas), the roads aren't paved and
people are more worried about
food, housing and staying alive in
the civil war. However, there are a
number of hot, non-white (hate
those classifications) skaters.
People like Arnie, who, like me,
has been skating since the year
dot, and my friend, Bong the
Rastaman, who has a new
freestyle trick every time I see him.
Also the lady (forgot her name)
who runs a school for street kids
has bought a couple
cheap
boards
and apparently one
or two of the kids are getting really
good. So, skating is helping us deal
with some of the problems of
Apartheid!
TV OD
Greg Hart
Mowbray, South Africa
I was watching television the
other day when my mom turned the
news on. Then some
geeky doctor says that
especially the skate-
board group have been
taking a certain drug.
I'm really bummed.

You just can't OD on a
skate high, unless you
slam yourself silly, but
then, that's just an-
other buzz. T-ed
