hile most kids Brody Davison's
age are busy watching Ninja Turtles
or playing kick-the-can, you can
find Brody (an eleven-year-old
Adelaide, Australia resident) in his
family's warehouse abode, slashing ollie deckslides
and frontside boardslides on the ramp Tony, his
dad, built for him. Jason, Ivor, Sean and Tommo will
probably all be there too, and between runs the
guys will swap stories about Jeff Phillips, Jason
Jesse and Chris Miller, eat McDonalds food and hot
chocolate custard, listen to the Dead Kennedys,
Suicidal Tendencies and the Sex Pistols, laugh, and
talk about becoming pro. Photo: Kevin Thatcher.

Hal Aggro Aussie Blake Convey could care less about all that trivial
bullcrap. Just show him some videos of Chris Miller and Reese
Simpson, give him a big bag of Big Macs, some Ice-T and 7
Seconds tapes, a good ramp (preferably one at Woden Skatepark
in his hometown, Canberra) or a steep street, and Blake will
definitely have a ton of fun. After all, that is why he skates.
