Savannah, Georgia-picturesque town of historic
colonial significance, ancient hotbed of illlicit pirate
activity, or stomping grounds for pig sloppin' cousin
kissers? The answer was as clear as a penny in a bowl
of gumbo, but it didn't really matter. I was airlifted
into the muggy southern city for one reason: to record
every detail of the third annual Savannah Slamma
skate-o-rama. Young skaters all over the world were
counting on me for the last word on the tricks, conflicts
and hairdos at the NSA's first streetstyle contest of '89. ►
