that school is very important. Oh,
he's so right about it. I wish I could
have read that interview 10 years ago
when I was in 1st and 2nd grade. So,
anyway, Aaron and I decided to stay
in school and go to California when
we graduate. Thank You.

PS. I've sent a piece of my favorite
jacket. So now part of my life is in
California. Take good care of it. I
know it will be happy.
We've preserved the jacket fragment
in a safe place and it looks happy to
us. Ted
WE'LL HAVE TO TRY HARDER
To all those people who believe
you'll become some sort of devil-
worshipper or a degenerate after
reading an issue of THRASHER,
that's bull. It took at least six issues

FUN ON THE RUN
Are your na-bores getting you
down, or is it just the town? Don't
worry, you too can be a member of
the "hit and run" squad. To qualify
all you have to do is own a skate. Now
search through your mind and think
of all the places which you or a friend
has been kicked out off of. When you
come to that location, remember that
you've only got time to do one or two
tricks and head off to the next.
destination before the manager
comes at you with his big gun. With
a team like this no one is safe from.

skating, there are intelligent and
thoughtful people who would like to
make a change in this suffocating
society/world. When you guys first
published the mag, you had the
typical but natural "skate or die"
stance. I had it too. It seemed neces-
sary to survive. Now, knowing better,
we can show our society a more car-
ing and compassionate approach to
life through our own lives.

I take offense to that. I'm going to die
someday, too. T-ed
FABLED CHILDHOOD
My mom thinks your mag sucks
(she thinks it's right up there with
Mad). When I asked her why she
hated it so much, she said it pro-
motes suicide, and is all ads. So 1
went out and got a subscription.
Then she wouldn't let me buy a board
and that really got me po.ed. She
claims that it is only a passing fad
even after I've been skating for three
years now. After I went ahead and
bought my new board, she said that
she would give in if I could really im-
press her with my skating. After
thrashing my hardest for an hour and
a half, she tells me to take my board
back or she is burning it. Instead of
taking the board back, I built a mini
half-pipe in my backyard, which she
tore down. That was the last straw.
I did the thing that she would kill me
for doing, I moved in with my dad.
The moral: total anarchy.

ANTI-BIMBO LEAGUE
In reference to Tina's June letter
about liking skaters, I too find an in-
tense attraction to guys who skate.
However, because I skate, I fool that
I admire guys for the full-out devo-
tion that pushes them to improve and
be persistant about it. I've had
enough of these bimbo chicks who
make all females interested in skating
look like horny hoebags. There are
a few of us out here who admire
talent, skill and style (of course it
doesn't hurt if you look like Natas).

Karen, have you met Paul? He's just

of course, you know Micheala on

DARE TO CARE
I just want to compliment you
because of the chance you have
laken in your mag. I'm talking about
interviews of Robert Williams (fine art
matter-o-factly) and Duncan Ken-
nedy (85 mph is fast!). It's cool how
you are presenting people's lifestyles
because it lets us know that,
although they may not be "lifers" in
