I am a fifteen year old punker and
recently I've been noticing a
withdrawal of skaters from the mosh
scene. I've been moshing for many
years now and at first there were
many skaters but now punkers seem
to be coming more popular. Does it
have anything to do with
injuries or is it just

ONE POINT OF CONTENTION
I was reading the "Victory at
Irvine" article in the July issue. I think
that the so-called victory of Christian
Hosoi over Hawk was emphasized
too much. Hosoi may have won by
one point but no victory was made.
If the contest was redone the out-
come would probably be completely
different. Who knows who would
win? When scores are that close you
have a winner and not a victory

I'm 14 and I think that
I'm a pretty outgoing type
of person. But I'm mad at
myself because I won't
ask any of the "stud
skaters" how to do any
tricks. I admit I am a
poseur, well, halfway at
least. Most poseurs can't
ollie 1% feet. I can. My board is
thrashed and I've almost mastered
the four-foot acid drop, but when am
I ever gonna learn how to skate
hard?!
