"Curb-lappy" Pat Ngoho on a bridge
over a canal in Amsterdam.
(From page 64) announces that the tour
is nearing it's end and that we must
immediately head for Amsterdam to
make all scheduled flights. Promises
are made to return and Mr. Sinai-
berger gives Steele two farewell
bottles of the famous Viennese red
wine and we head for the train.
AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS
Somehow, Christ, Ngoho and
Thomas are at the train depot when
we arrive. I don't know how they do it.
All flights are scheduled for the next
day. The group decides that today and
tonight will be the ultimate BLOW
OUT! After checking into a hotel, the
tour monsters split up and invade the
streets of Amsterdam.
•At 1800 hours everyone has stum-
bled back to the hotel, where findings
are exchanged. Some rant and rave
of coffee houses with legal chocolate
and space cakes. Duncan has been
found, but no Roskopp. Others have
met Dutch skateboarders, who
showed them a half-pipe next to a
mosquito-infested canal. Steele and
myself visited his friend Hanky (whom
he previously referred to as "The
Dutchman") at his tattoo parlor, Hanky
Panky, which is directly below a bar
crawling with Hells Angels. Hanky
explained that he'd been very busy
because the Hells Angels convention
is in town.
Dick decided to get inked and
quickly sketched a design which was
placed on his left biceps. While under
the gun he overheard a conversation
referring to Suicidal Tendencies (a
rock band from Venice, California, and
personal friends of his), who were to
play that evening at the Paradisio
Every member of the tour gets into
the show at no charge. Inside there
are skateboarders everywhere and the
music is loud. S.T's lead singer, Mike
Muir, dedicates a song to his friends
from the U.S., and mentions their
names. The song is called "Pos-
sessed To Skate," which sums up the
past month's experiences to a tee.
After the show we meet with the band
backstage, and then it's back to the
streets. I'm offered a pastry and
hungrily accept it. After consuming
it I'm informed it is a Space Cake.
Everything becomes a blur.
I awake in my hotel room, alone.
The tour has left me, apparently to
return to the US. I feel a burning
sensation on my forearm and look
down. I've been tattooed with a single
word, "VIPER." I knew it was just a
rumor that he'd been killed.
My regrets that I've failed my mis-
sion and that OPERATION: BROKEN
WING is a washout. I formally resign
from the ORGANIZATION. I'm buying
a skateboard and heading to
California.
JULIO, over and out of it.
Hoth slams the report into the
circular file, lights another cigarette
and begins to wonder why he even
woke up today.

1-2. Approach the curb as you would for a frontside boneless.
Launch, popping your wheels against the curb.
3-4. Spin and land in a backside axle-stall,
5-6 Switch hands as your axles smack the curb. Grab your inside
rail as if you were doing an invert. (Early release insures a
faster transition.)
7-8. Place your rear hand on the ground, pop your tail off the curb
and pull into a fakie. Do it fast.
